I am an UK-based script writer, author, lyricist and former university lecturer in both cell biology and writing - not at the same time! I was working in the lab late one night (true) and, realising that I now wasn't totally fulfilled, went to the BBC next day and started writing comedy - they bought some. I am currently a freelance writing consultant for film, TV, stage, books and audio and as such have been in involved with numerous works in lots of different countries with some lovely people.
