As a novice writer of this, his first self-published short story—The Oxford Chair—Paul reflects on his time in Oxford where he was born, baptised, schooled, and worked for both Town and Gown up to the time he moved to his retirement bungalow on the outskirts of the City. The Dreaming Spires are no longer visible from the windows of his new home. But his retirement location is where Paul found time to write this story.
