The Oxford Chair

The Oxford Chair is a gently comic, self‑aware, and affectionately Oxfordian tale about a retired man who decides to attempt his first piece of creative writing. Lacking experience but rich in curiosity, he sets out to acquire a proper ‘writer’s chair’. Paul recounts how he found an old, battered chair and became convinced it once belonged to J. R. R. Tolkien, who then gifted it to C. S. Lewis. Paul weaves a narrative full of Oxford lore, literary history, and whimsical logic.
