I am a Brit who, like so many women, spent years attempting (and failing) to balance career, motherhood, relationship and not losing sight of myself. A year ago, I decided that life’s too short and we uprooted our family, ancient cat and bonkers dog included, to move to Portugal, which has finally given me the time to write the book my secondary school teacher prophesised I would - and which has made me realise that the only thing more fun than reading books, is writing them.
