The Shadow of al-Saahira

Two divine magicians, John Villaire, a kung fu psychiatrist, and Danny Shemhamphorasch, a half angel, team up with our protagonist, Max von Fechten, an author-sorcerer, to take on a cabal of powerful and depraved sorcerers in modern day Jersey (the Channel Island). Max needs to save his sister-in-law, Katharine, who has been cursed by them, and John and Danny have to rescue their friend, Ed Hornigold, from the cabal's clutches. Max's chief ally is the goddess, Shaitana, an unstoppable sword.
