Former librarian Peter Cooper is persuaded to play the role of guinea pig in his new company's risky-sounding 'Transference' project. Peter is sent to another version of his sleepy town of Capistrano, a gut-wrenchingly experience. Returning,Peter is coldly informed that his runaway father John was the inventor of the Transference, escaping justice after killing Peter's mother in a fight about the boy Peter 20 year's previously. He must go back there now and find his father or face rapid death.
