Climb into the strangest mind in California as he sells a dust sucker to Aldo the Hux, sips funny-tasting tea and meets a bunch of dead folks. Hux is a spirit guide as Don becomes Captain Beefheart and tours Blighty. That's where he meets Professor Ambiguity, is insulted by a toothless barman in DH Lawrence's birthplace and gets lost in Lewis Carroll's woods . Back in the USA he encounters a non-dead Al Turing who has invented AI 50 years early.
