Bodies of water is a dystopian anti-fable about losing hope and carrying on anyway. The Road by Cormac McCarthy meets Marley & me by John Grogan. Ana and Mabel are on the run, in a briny marshland where nothing much survives. Ana needs to get to the place on the hill she remembers from her childhood, before her baby is born. Trouble is, Mabel is becoming unpredictable. She is a wild animal after all.
