Ashley Mmolawa Mapokgole was born around 20:00 on November 21 in 1976 at Saint Brendan's Clinic near Tropic of Capricorn in the then Northern Transvaal now called Limpopo and grew up in a village known as Ga-Ramokgopa. He is the first born son of Mr. Whisky and Mrs. Rose line Mapokgole. Ethnically he is a member of the Lemba tribe commonly known as the black Jews.
