From the back streets of Belfast during the conflict, to high table at Christchurch College, Oxford. This most unlikely of journeys has traversed performing my songs on national TV, to teaching English Literature at some of the poorest and the most affluent schools in the UK. Community relations work and anti-sectarian work in N. Ireland contributed to the peace process. Later, success as a senior academic. All of this culminating in heart disease and triple bypass surgery at 39! It's been fun!
