Historical fiction is my genre, specifically 12th century England. What a fascinating if relatively unknown period! Whilst a History teacher, my students were gripped by the stories of King Stephen and the Empress Matilda and their war over the throne of England. But for me, it is the political and intellectual turmoil of the era which is so appealing. No wonder it is now known as the 12th century Renaissance. It is my passion for these times that I love sharing with my readers.
