As a married, working mum of two daughters on the cusp of adolescence, I emerged from the fog of raising small children and working in the pharmaceutical industry for the last twenty years, wondering what to do with the rest of my life. Encouraged by my husband to try something new, and after a newly bought guitar had been abandoned to gather dust, I signed up for an evening class in creative writing - the first time I’d written any fiction or shared personal writing with anyone.
