I’m Shawna! I am a 28 year old queer woman living in Canada! I recently went on a short term break when I reached burnout, in this reflective space I rediscovered my joy for writing. I have been watching the world intently the past couple years and got to the point I declared to my friend “I’m not watching anymore, I’m going to pretend everything’s okay.” Which I immediately regretted.“Memory Leak” is the result of that. Is it better to remember the violence? Or accept a curated peace.
