I began writing regularly through journaling the day to day lives of my children from their first steps and first words up to the cusp of their adulthood. When the journal reached its natural conclusion, it left a large whole. Writing had become a habit, part of the fabric of my life. And I missed it. I started Of the Wood, my first book, not long after and was lucky enough to secure a hybrid contract with a publisher. My drive to write remains and I cannot imagine not writing now.
