Raised in part among a traditional gypsy community in London, I knew from an early age I would write. Storytelling was a major part of our culture and family life. I work with marginalized people in challenged communities. My novel, The Fell (2019) was shortlisted for the NZ Book Lovers Award. In 2023 I won a national short story competition with “The Skinny Man”. In 2025 I was shortlisted for the Sargeson Prize for my short story “Callooh. Coppermill Lane is my latest novel.
