In 2022, a life-saving surgery restored my health but redirected my career. I discovered a passion for storytelling while writing my memoir, "Fab-and-Forty-Something," and have since transitioned to fiction. My debut novel, "Blades, Barriers, and Bravery," is inspired by my childhood as a South African figure skater. It explores the grit of an elite athlete pursuing an unconventional sport in a country where it is rarely celebrated.
