I have been writing since early 2000's. The Choice is my second novel. My first novel, Hear the Curlew Cry, won the International Novel Debut Competition 2025 and is being considered by various agents and publishers. Although the subject-matter is very different, both novels explore freedom, identity and power. Last year, I was shortlisted for a Bridport Residency. I teach creative writing in a local prison and write an occasional blog Notes From the West Coast.
