Carapace is an historical novel that emerged from my dual preoccupations with how any of us manage to fit into our skins, our lives and the lives of friends, family and strangers coupled with imagining other times, other places and standing in other people’s shoes. I’ve been writing for a while, and self-published a novel, Bantling, in 2023. Presently, I am busy planning the colour-blazing future of my rain-soaked, blank-canvas garden and thinking about another novel.
