After many frustrating years of trying to re-write my favorite stories but make them different, somehow, I finally started writing from the same tone I would have a conversation with, and it lead me to two black comedy novels in completely different styles over the past year. I'd love to say I have a particular goal with my work, but I don't think I'm a good enough writer to even say that yet. Maybe I never will be. Maybe being a 'good enough' writer is a dumb concept to begin with.
