I’m a parent of three teenagers, a life-long captive of selective mutism and a mum on a mission. My first was getting girls interested in science and my Tara Binns series idea led HarperCollins to commission 33 children’s fiction books from me, selling over 200,000 worldwide to date. My latest passion is to repurpose my own inability to speak up and speak out about emotional abuse to help teenagers recognise red flags in their own relationships.
