I was 40 when I started to write. The Russian Union of Writers awarded me the first prize as "Writer of the Year 2013" in the debut category. But censorship was immediate. As soon as I began expressing anti-war sentiments in my prose any publication of my works was stopped in Russia. Only my first book of short stories, "Schizo," was published in Russia.
