After 43 years as an oilfield machinist, I retired in 2025. I cannot remember a time in my life when I wasn't interested in writing and am a voracious reader. When I read, I look at HOW an author writes, as much as what they are writing. I have written off and on throughout my life, nothing published and I also know it's very difficult to make a living as a writer. Now retired, I can write for the pure pleasure of sharing a whopper of a story and not worry about the monetary recriminations.
