I've always been a reader and started writing as an undergrad in 2008. When I graduated I became a school librarian and eventually a teacher. In 2019, with years of writing and rejections behind me, I signed up for an MA in creative writing at Birkbeck. In 2024 I was longlisted for the Bridport Novel Prize. The rejections continued and in 2025 I decided to independently publish my longlisted novel. I read and write everyday, and continue to teach English in a middle school. Books are my life.
