Native of Japan, Kanako is a global nomad and an international civil servant, currently living in Baku, Azerbaijan, with her husband, two children and Timothy the Cat. Having left Japan right before her 3rd birthday, writing has been the one constant in Kanako’s life. She has completed the Advanced Creative Writing course with Elizabeth Garner at the University of Oxford Department for Continuing Education and Curtis Brown Creative’s three-month novel writing course with Suzannah Dunn.
