I've been an eager reader all my life and a prolific writer - most of which is piled in notebooks. In 2019 I was one of the writers in Kit de Waal’s acclaimed ‘Common People’ anthology of working-class memoir, and this gave me chance to develop my work with New Writing North. Over the years, my short stories have won prizes and I have also written plays (some shortlisted or longlisted) and made two mini documentary films. I'm currently working on a novel with a Faber course, which is great.
