I am a debut writer and have recently completed a novel set in Spain and the UK. My writing is shaped by a thirty-year police career in Scotland. After retiring, I turned to writing as a hobby, drawing on memories of colleagues, criminals, victims, and the realities of police life. Living and travelling in Europe during retirement introduced people and places that enriched my work and led me to commit to writing full time.
