I knew by the time I was 8 that I wanted to write, and wrote numerous short stories in my youth, including a national award winner. After writing nonfiction for business and academia for many years, I have recently returned to fiction. I write dialogue- and character-driven murder mysteries and novellas. My mysteries are long, closely plotted reads with an ensemble cast of characters introduced before the murder (I figure if Louise Penny can do it, so can I). I write what I would like to read.
