I grew up on the south coast of England. After leaving school, I worked as a hairdresser and barber before returning to full-time education at Weymouth College and the University of Glasgow, where I gained a First Class Honours Degree and PhD in English and American Literature. I have taught, lectured and presented in Taiwan and the UK. My first novel, Lyttleton Siren, was published by The Book Guild in 2025, and I currently live with my family in Dorset.
