Newly retired from the building trades. Always wanted to write a story about loss of the people in my life while noticing a specific thing that happens when people pass on. This one event stirred up an idea for a book that has now turned into a trilogy on the rise. I noticed that just before a person passed on to wherever or whatever comes next, that a small but noticable smile would appear. Why? This question struck a nerve to wrap this into a sci-fi storyline that has consumed me for 4 years.
