I am a jurist and chair of a small human rights charity; tea lady; van driver and teacher. I have written fiction (two novels, unpublished) and non-fiction since childhood and have published a number of legal and other non-fiction pieces. I am a member of the Royal Society of Literature, former Chair of Trustees of the Prisoners of Conscience Appeal Fund and former Trustee of English PEN. I have an MA (Merit) in Creative Writing from Birkbeck College London and an LLM (Distinction).
