I have been a jobbing actor all my life and have always written down ideas, thoughts, dreams, poems and short stories.. Once my children had grown up and left home, I wanted to write a novel from different perspectives, influenced by "As I Lay Dying", I have always loved science fiction, and I began by bringing together a number of my ideas, influenced by "Fahrenheit 451" and "1984" and stimulated by my fears for the UK's future, which turned into my debut novel, The Whitchurch Papers.
