For 33 years I shared with my wife and children a life of adventure in Arabia, sailing the North Sea, the Med and the Arabian Sea, exploring archaeology (we received a golden Award for finding a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Umm al Qawain in the United Arab Emirates,) while my professional practice in Dubai and Sharjah helped to build the rapidly developing UAE. When my dear wife died, I decided to honour her memory by writing.
