I write women’s contemporary fiction about families — where love is complicated, loyalties tested, and secrets have an annoying tendency to refuse to stay buried. I was born in Devon and have worked as a librarian, an ice-cream seller at a rooftop café (yes, really – it was great!), and a teacher for visually impaired students — a job I loved and which taught me a great deal about people and resilience. When my children flew the nest, I turned my attention to writing about fictional families.
