GJ West is a South African novelist and poet. She has a PhD in neuroscience but the most interesting thing she uses her brain for is dreaming up tales full of wicked characters and invented snacks. She is a recipient of the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture Writers Residency, and her short works have been published in several anthologies. When she's not reading everything she can get her hands on, you can find her hiking with her pup Zuko, studying obscure topics, or practicing sword yoga.
