I am a writer, scientist, mother and Wellington-based public servant. I have previously published a book of short stories, the Red Queen (2014, Victoria University Press), and won the Sunday Star-Times Short Story Contest (2010) and the Katherine Mansfield Short Story Competition (2011). I have held the Todd Writers Bursary (2015) and currently have a draft novel, Missing, with Victoria University Press. Coal Town came second in the Allen & Unwin Commercial Fiction Prize in 2022 and 2023.
