I’m an author and journalist. My previous novels, Hard Copy, Moving On and Taking Sides, were published by Piatkus but I haven't written a full-length novel for 20 years. I live by the seaside in Dorset and often write about it in my weekly Substack. I wanted to write a novel set on the stunning Dorset coast – partly because there are so many books set in Cornwall and I think Dorset deserves more of a look-in.
