I'm a writer of literary fiction that often features undercurrents of the gothic and the macabre warping the fabric of everyday life. I’m interested in the balance of power in relationships between men and women, how trauma is passed through history, and ancient folklore resurfacing in art. Elsewhere in life, I am a journalist and broadcaster. I have been a foreign correspondent in Paris, Brussels, Rome, Moscow and Latin America.
