Dara is a fantasy storyteller, long-time member of Manchester Speculative Fiction, and Classics graduate from the Universities of Cambridge and Warwick. She regularly receives feedback from beta readers at Manchester Speculative Fiction. The submission enclosed, Phantasm, was recently longlisted by CWIP in 2025. Phantasm has been described by beta readers as ‘Terry Prachett meets Studio Ghibli’. Dara enjoys blending humour with myth and magic in stories that act as gateways to other worlds.
