I am a journalist and author with a background in public health communications and speechwriting. I am the recipient of the bronze medal in the New York Festival (2005), was a finalist for the Prime Ministerial Women & Sports Award for outstanding media coverage (1994), and an invited speaker at the Commonwealth Heads of Governments Meeting (2002). In 2014 I relocated to New York where I earned an MFA in fiction writing from Columbia University.
