I left socialist Hungary as a teenager through the Iron Curtain in 1981 and now live in Northern Ireland. Over the past 22 years, my work has spanned fiction, nonfiction, poetry and hybrid forms. My debut novel, Bed Table Door, a coming of age story with LGBT and migration themes, received The Desmond Elliott Prize Residency in UNESCO City of Literature Norwich. My first full collection of poetry, Firebird, is published by Arlen House, Dublin. I make film poems as a visual artist.
