I studied Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Queens’ College, Cambridge and also completed Curtis Brown Creative’s Writing Fantasy course. I've travelled to glaciers, desert and remote islands, leapt off a cliff and out of a plane, and swum with icebergs and dolphins. My experiences usually sneak their way into my stories. I now live in Sussex with an assortment of children, animals and other family. Amongst the chaos I write about women discovering they’re more resilient than they ever imagined.
