Axel McFarlane has throughout his life negotiated with a colourful set of forces, fighting science with art and art with science. His adventures into media began working for a Japanese TV company and as a film editor for a revival series of The Wombles. He has campaigned for a number of human rights issues and so far written two full-length novels, in addition to a screenplay for a children's animated film commissioned by a Hollywood producer. He currently lives in Spain.
