After working as a clinical psychologist in the UK, USA and Australia, I bring that experience to writing fiction. I relish creating complex female characters, exploring the long-term effect of childhood trauma and my characters’ efforts to overcome early hardship. I have been awarded Australian writing fellowships from the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers’ Centre (2022, 2024 & 2026) and Varuna (2024). My first novel, Lou and I, was shortlisted for the 2023 HarperCollins Banjo Prize.
