Aniela Barlamas is the author of The Shame of Being Me, her first novel. Seventeen years ago Aniela started scribbling jagged words on paper during a painful time in her life. Since then Aniela, The Shame of Being Me and the heroine Vayle Lakeland have been tethered together by the shared experiences of tragedy and love. Aniela Barlamas is a proud graduate of The University of Pittsburgh and lives with her family in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
