I grew up and went to school in the small rural South African town of White River in the Mpumalanga Lowveld. After university studies I started my writing career as a reporter and journalist. In my fiction writing I aim to investigate deeper questions about the soul, reverence for nature, the power of love, and women who are silenced, but recover their voice. I have published four books through respected South African publishing houses, and won three prestigious literary awards.
