I'm a Brooklynite living in Chicago; I've also lived in Montreal and Seattle. Travel ignites my writing--I love a fresh perspective. My stories veer toward the fantastic, often drawing on myth or fairy tale. I'm the author of two novels published by a small press based in Philadelphia: Daughters of the Air, which Shelf Awareness called "striking" and Dreams Under Glass, which Newcity called "revelatory." I also love to write essays about food and cultural memory.
