The Year's Deep Midnight

After dropping out of a Catholic seminary in County Durham, Vincent Michael finds himself in the south of France, working as a private tutor for a wealthy family. One night in December, 1985, he stumbles across a man dying on the pavement outside his employers' apartment. There is a light on in apartment 51, and Vincent resolves to speak with its occupant, the only other person who might have seen something. This turns out to be the elderly Graham Greene, and the two join forces to investigate.
