When William McManus, a socially awkward scientist, discovers he is about to become a dad, he is forced to confront the void left by his own absent father, and sets out to find him. His supposed father, however, is anything but pleased to hear he might have an illegitimate son. The news threatens everything he has worked so hard for. Paranoid and convinced that William has been sent by one of his rivals to orchestrate his downfall, he is certain of one thing: William must be eliminated.
