Rebecca Pendragon, Magic Is All Around Us
by Gary Green

Cheerful, sensible Sue is perfectly content with her comfortable life in leafy Littlewick. She and her four friends have good jobs, happy children and (mostly) happy husbands. But when Queen Bee Cate decides to use their idyllic situation as material for her book, (a scathing satire of suburban life) everything changes. Allegiances shift and new relationships form. And Sue has to decide whether she’s happy with a walk-on part in someone else’s story, or if she wants a leading role in her own.
