Kynath Volsung was abandoned by her deadbeat father as a child. She grew up to be a gamer, ended up in community college, dreaming of transferring to a college in a big city someday. But when two young men show up in her small town claiming that they work for her father and his company needs her help, her life is turned upside down. Suddenly, her mother's company is shooting before asking questions, and she has no choice but to believe them.
